Prices for metal scrap collection in Ukraine

    Prices for metal scrap collection in Ukraine constantly fluctuate depending on various factors that affect the pricing of services for black metal scrap reception. The price depends on the volume, additional services, transportation, dismantling, and payment terms.

    Dismantling scrap metal involves expenses, and sometimes it is difficult to calculate the amount for which a particular metal structure can be dismantled and cut. Usually, a sum of 400 UAH is allocated for the dismantling of metal structures, and this amount does not include transportation. The price for transportation can also be calculated based on the quantity of scrap metal. If the metal is transported by a manipulator truck, it should be understood that one trip of a scrap truck costs from 1600 UAH. The load capacity of a manipulator truck is up to 20 tons, depending on the model of the scrap truck. The maximum weight that a crane manipulator can lift reaches 2 tons. Therefore, the weight of individual parts that are planned to be delivered as scrap metal should be taken into account. As practice shows, it is cheaper to cut a metal structure than to complicate the work with specialized equipment. For the transportation of metal with small dimensions, Gazelles, five-ton trucks, and other vehicles can be used.

    It is expected that the prices for metal scrap collection in Ukraine will reach their peak this year, with the highest prices expected in January and February, possibly even in March.
