    Self-delivery of metal scrap can be done using different types of transport depending on the quantity and type of scrap metal. Metal scrap up to 3 tons is mainly transported by Gazelles.

    For up to 5 tons of metal scrap, five-ton trucks, TATA, Gazons, ZIL, KAMAZ, MAZ, Mercedes are used.

    For over 10 tons, special equipment is used, such as manipulator trucks with grabbers, scrap metal trucks, and hook manipulators. It is much more cost-effective to transport a large quantity of metal scrap in one go, as self-delivery is cheaper than using Gazelles or five-ton trucks. The manipulator or scrap truck can load itself, saving time and resources when delivering the metal scrap.

    It is also more convenient and beneficial to involve metal cutters, as cut and oversized metal is easier to load, and oversized metal scrap commands the highest price. Oversized metal scrap refers to metal with dimensions up to 60 cm. Such oversized metal scrap does not require processing and can be loaded directly into wagons and sent to metallurgical plants. In Ukraine, there are very few plants that process oversized ferrous scrap metal (machinery, rails, equipment).
